Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 09.35.010

  • Restitution: The court-ordered payment of money by the defendant to the victim for damages caused by the criminal action.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
(2) the state on behalf of a victim of a crime or a delinquent act in whose favor a judgment of restitution is ordered.
