Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 437D-17
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Lessor: means any person in the business of providing rental motor vehicles to the public. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 437D-3
The posting requirements of §§ 437D-9 and 437D-13 shall not apply to a lessor who is a party to a commercial lease which prohibits all posting and which is in force on January 1, 1989.
