Terms Used In Idaho Code 67-3909

  • Bankruptcy: Refers to statutes and judicial proceedings involving persons or businesses that cannot pay their debts and seek the assistance of the court in getting a fresh start. Under the protection of the bankruptcy court, debtors may discharge their debts, perhaps by paying a portion of each debt. Bankruptcy judges preside over these proceedings.
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
This act shall in no wise affect any other act or acts now existing or which may hereafter be adopted covering the same subject-matter, or apply to any proceedings thereunder, but is intended to and does provide, among other matters, an alternative system for the refunding of bonds, the same to be used pursuant to the provisions of, and in conjunction with[,] the Federal Bankruptcy Statute.
