Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 705/20.41

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Any person, firm or corporation who shall sell for use in the coal mines in this State any permissible explosive not stamped as herein required, or who shall knowingly sell for use in coal mines in this State any permissible explosive which is untruthfully branded or stamped, and any person, firm or corporation being a manufacturer of permissive explosives, or the agent of any such manufacturer of permissible explosives, who shall sell for use in any coal mine in this State any permissible explosive which shall not conform to the requirements of this Act, shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.
