Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 705/4.34

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Upon final conviction for nonfeasance in office under the provisions of this Act of any State Mine Inspector his certificate of qualification or of competency, as the case may be, shall be thereby invalidated and he shall become disqualified from holding such office, and such person shall not be entitled to receive another certificate of qualification or of competency, as the case may be, within 3 months from the date of such final conviction.
