  • individual: shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.36
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     For taxable years ending on or after December 31, 2015, the Department must print on its standard individual income tax form a provision (i) indicating that if the taxpayer wishes to contribute to the Autism Care Fund, a special fund created in the State treasury, for the purpose of donating to the Autism Society of Illinois, as authorized by this amendatory Act of the 99th General Assembly, he or she may do so by stating the amount of the contribution (not less than $1) on the return and (ii) stating that the contribution will reduce the taxpayer’s refund or increase the amount of payment to accompany the return. Failure to remit any amount of increased payment shall reduce the contribution accordingly. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, moneys deposited into the Autism Care Fund from contributions under this Section shall be used by the Department of Human Services to make grants to the Autism Society of Illinois. This Section does not apply to any amended return.
