- board: means the legislative governing body of any county other than Cook County which has adopted the county executive form of government under this Division. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 55 ILCS 5/2-5003
County board meetings are open to the public, and all persons may attend the meetings. The vote on all propositions to appropriate money from the county treasury shall be taken by “yeas” and “nays” and entered on the record of the meeting.
