Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 625 ILCS 5/3-914

  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The violation of any provision of this Act by any remittance agent may be restrained by the issuance of an injunction by the circuit court, against him and any other person who shall aid or abet him in such violation, upon filing of a complaint by any person adversely affected thereby, the State‘s Attorney of such county, or by the Attorney General of the State of Illinois.
