Indiana Code 9-13-2-196.5. “Veteran”

Sec. 196.5. “Veteran” means an individual who:

(1) is serving in; or

United States: includes the District of Columbia and the commonwealths, possessions, states in free association with the United States, and the territories. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5

(2) under conditions other than dishonorable, was discharged or separated from service in;

the armed forces of the United States or their reserve components.
