Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 39-740

  • blind: means not only those who are totally and permanently devoid of vision, but also those persons whose vision is so defective as to prevent the performance of ordinary activities for which eyesight is essential. See Kansas Statutes 39-702
  • Secretary: means the secretary for children and families, unless otherwise specified. See Kansas Statutes 39-702
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The records relating to the blind, as filed in the office of the state board of health, shall be available to the secretary for children and families at all times.
