Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 45-312

  • Enrolled bill: The final copy of a bill or joint resolution which has passed both chambers in identical form. It is printed on parchment paper, signed by appropriate officials, and submitted to the President/Governor for signature.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

In all acts containing a provision for their publication one or more times in the Kansas register, the secretary of state shall attach to the enrolled bill a certificate stating the date of such publication. In the printed volume or volumes of laws there shall be appended to each act so published the date of such publication, and the issue of the Kansas register in which it was published, which shall be evidence of such publication and the date thereof.
