  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Any contractor who fails to register with the secretary or the secretary’s designee as required by this act, or who fails to comply with any of the provisions of this act, shall not be entitled to maintain an action to recover payment for performance in the courts of this state on such contract.
