- Person: as used in this Chapter means an individual or corporation, partnership, trust, association, joint venture pool, syndicate, sole proprietorship, unincorporated organization, or any other form of entity not specifically listed herein. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 9:3516
Any person required to be licensed pursuant to this Chapter shall, prior to application for licensure, be duly registered with the Louisiana secretary of state and be in possession of a certificate of authority to transact business pursuant to La. Rev. Stat. 12:304 or 1345 or La. Rev. Stat. 9:3422, as applicable.
