§ 1233-A Grounds for refusal, suspension or revocation

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Department: shall mean the Department of Health and Human Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 1221
  • Electrologist: means a person who practices electrology. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 1221
  • Electrology: shall mean the practice of removing hair permanently by applying electricity to the hair follicle to cause growth inactivity to the hair root. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 1221
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Person: shall mean any individual, firm, partnership, corporation or other association or organization. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 1221
  • Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
