Section 35. The governor, with the advice and consent of the council, shall appoint a librarian of the state library, who shall hold office during their pleasure and the position of librarian shall be classified in accordance with section forty-five of chapter thirty and the salary shall be determined in accordance with section forty-six C of said chapter thirty.
