- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
To retake the person escaping or rescued, the person pursuing may use the same means to retake as are authorized for an arrest.
