Terms Used In Michigan Laws 764.5

  • Judicial district: means the following:
  (i) With regard to the circuit court, the county. See Michigan Laws 761.1
  • Magistrate: means a judge of the district court or a judge of a municipal court. See Michigan Laws 761.1
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
  •    The magistrate may take from the person arrested, a recognizance with sufficient sureties, for the person’s appearance within 10 days before a magistrate of the judicial district in which the offense is charged to have been committed.
