‘Acquisition’ or ‘acquire’ means the opening, laying out, establishment, purchase, construction, securing, installation, reconstruction, lease, gift, grant from the United States of America, any agency, instrumentality or corporation thereof, any public body or any person, endowment, bequest, devise, condemnation, transfer, assignment, option to purchase, other contract, or other acquirement (or any combination thereof) of any project, or an interest therein, herein authorized.

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
