Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 106-L:15

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
Any police officer previously certified by the police standards and training council prior to the effective date of this chapter shall be considered certified under this chapter and shall continue to be subject to the jurisdiction of the police standards and training council.
