Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 260:65

  • Foreclosure: A legal process in which property that is collateral or security for a loan may be sold to help repay the loan when the loan is in default. Source: OCC
  • Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
  • Personal property: All property that is not real property.
  • real estate: shall include lands, tenements, and hereditaments, and all rights thereto and interests therein. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:21
The lien provided for by N.H. Rev. Stat. § 260:63 may be foreclosed in the case of real estate in accordance with the provisions of law relating to foreclosure of mortgages on real estate, and in the case of personal property, agreeably with the provisions of RSA 382-A, Article 9.
