No operator of an all-terrain vehicle shall carry a passenger, except on those vehicles specifically designed by the manufacturer to carry passengers in addition to the operator. (2005-282, s. 2.)
Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 20-171.16
- Operator: means a person who travels on a bicycle seated on a saddle seat from which that person is intended to and can pedal the bicycle. See North Carolina General Statutes 20-171.8
- Passenger: means a person who travels on a bicycle in any manner except as an operator. See North Carolina General Statutes 20-171.8
