Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 58-39-100

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

From any final order of the Commissioner issued pursuant to the provisions of this Article there shall be an appeal as provided in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-2-75. (1981, c. 846, s. 1; 2003-262, s. 2(2).)
