Terms Used In Tennessee Code 4-49-131
- Council: means the sports wagering council. See Tennessee Code 4-49-102
- License: means a license to accept wagers from bettors on sporting events issued under §. See Tennessee Code 4-49-102
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
A license or permit issued by the secretary of state under [former] § 4-29-203 [transferred], prior to July 1, 2023, remains valid on and after July 1, 2023, and is deemed to be a license issued by the sports wagering advisory council on and after July 1, 2023. Until emergency or permanent rules are adopted by the sports wagering advisory council, existing rules governing fantasy sports adopted by the secretary of state remain in full force and effect.
