9-8-906. Utah Archaeological and Historic Sites Grant Program.
| (1) |
The office shall:

| (a) |
administer the money contained in the grant program; and |
| (b) |
select qualified recipients in accordance with Subsection (2). |

| (2) |
The office may distribute the money from the grant program to a private landowner:
| (a) |
that applies to the office, in a manner prescribed by the office, to receive all or part of the money contained in the grant program; and |
| (b) |
for identifying and protecting archaeological resources on the landowner’s property, if the private landowner contributes an amount of money equal to or greater than the amount of money the landowner receives from the grant program. |
