Simplified Probate for Small Estates in Washington

In general, when someone dies, the estate must go through probate which can be a complicated and lengthy process. But many states provide less complicated options for smaller estates.

Washington law provides for simplified probate when, unless the decedent's will states otherwise, the personal representative petitions the court for nonintervention powers if the court determines that the decedent's estate is solvent.
