1. Business purpose. An account established for a partnership, joint venture or other organization for a business purpose;

Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 18-C Sec. 6-202
- Account: means a contract of deposit between a depositor and a financial institution and includes a checking account, savings account, certificate of deposit and share account. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 18-C Sec. 6-201
- Agent: means a person authorized to make account transactions for a party. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 18-C Sec. 6-201
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Terms of the account: includes the deposit agreement and other terms and conditions, including the form, of the contract of deposit. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 18-C Sec. 6-201
- Trust account: A general term that covers all types of accounts in a trust department, such as estates, guardianships, and agencies. Source: OCC
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
2. Controlled by agent or trustee. An account controlled by one or more persons as an agent or trustee for a corporation, unincorporated association or charitable or civic organization; or

3. Other relationship. A fiduciary or trust account in which the relationship is established other than by the terms of the account.
