Subdivision 1.Administration.
The commissioner shall administer, implement, and enforce sections 18C.531 to 18C.575. The Department of Agriculture is the lead state agency for the regulation of agricultural liming materials which includes the storage, handling, distribution, and use of agricultural liming materials.

The commissioner may delegate authorities and duties under sections 18C.531 to 18C.575 to designated employees or agents of the Department of Agriculture.
Subd. 3.Delegation to approved agencies.
The commissioner may, by written agreement, delegate specific inspection, enforcement, and other regulatory duties of sections 18C.531 to 18C.575 to officials of approved agencies as defined in section 18B.01, subdivision 2.
