The corporate name of a professional corporation shall comply with the rules and regulations of the regulatory board or boards or standards of professional conduct of the profession practiced through the corporation. The corporate name need not comply with ORS § 60.094 (1), but shall contain the words ‘professional corporation’ or the abbreviations ‘P.C.’ or ‘Prof. Corp.’ [1969 c.592 § 13; 1985 c.728 § 102; 1987 c.94 § 17; 1993 c.235 § 4; 1997 c.774 § 6]
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 58.115
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Regulatory board: means the governmental agency of the State of Oregon required or authorized by law to license and regulate the rendering of a professional service or services for which a professional corporation is organized. See Oregon Statutes 58.015
