The board of directors of an irrigation district may withhold delivery of water to any land within the district until such time as unpaid assessments appearing on the county tax rolls levied against the lands for any prior year, as the board may direct, are paid. A board of directors may accept promissory notes, chattel or real property mortgages or other security, as security for the payment of any delinquent assessments. [Amended by 1995 c.42 § 102]
