The department may establish and supervise under its rules and regulations training schools or courses for employees of the department or of state institutions under its jurisdiction.

  • Department: means the State Department of Developmental Services. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 4401
  • institutions: include every hospital, sanitarium, boarding home, or other place receiving or caring for developmentally disabled persons. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 4416
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
