Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 415 ILCS 5/25b

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Any person, corporation or public authority intending to construct a nuclear steam-generating facility or a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant shall file with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency an environmental feasibility report which incorporates the data provided in the preliminary safety analysis required to be filed with the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The Board may by rule prescribe the form of such report. The Board shall have the power to adopt standards to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Illinois from the hazards of radiation to the extent that such powers are not preempted under the federal constitution.
