Terms Used In Texas Special District Local Laws Code Chapter 3917 - Westwood Management District
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.

- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.

- Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
- Voting year: means the 12-month period beginning January 1 of each year. See Texas Election Code 1.005
- Year: means 12 consecutive months. See Texas Government Code 311.005
