Terms Used In Texas Special District Local Laws Code 3846.105
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
The district may not employ peace officers, but may contract with off-duty peace officers to provide public safety and security services:
(1) in connection with a special event, holiday, period with high traffic congestion, or similar circumstance; and
(2) at district property, including facilities.
