- Justice: when applied to a magistrate, means justice of the peace. See Texas Government Code 312.011
A hearing under this chapter shall be in any justice court in:
(1) the county from which the motor vehicle was towed; or
(2) for booted vehicles, the county in which the parking facility is located.
