(1) There is created a restricted account known as the State Aircraft Restricted Account.

- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Department: means the Department of Transportation created in Section 72-1-201. See Utah Code 72-1-102
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
(2) The account consists of money generated from the following revenue sources:
(2)(a) fees the department receives for use of state owned aircraft;
(2)(b) appropriations to the account by the Legislature;
(2)(c) contributions from other public or private sources for deposit into the account; and
(2)(d) interest earned on money in the account.
(3) Upon appropriation by the Legislature, the department may use money in the account for the operation and maintenance of state owned aircraft.
