- classified national security information: means information that has been determined under Executive Order 13526, or any predecessor or successor order, to require protection against unauthorized disclosure, and is marked to indicate its classified status when in documentary form. See 49 CFR 8.5
- Control: means the authority of the agency that originates information, or its successor in function, to regulate access to the information. See 49 CFR 8.5
- territory: includes the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, all possessions of the United States, and all lands held by the U. See 33 CFR 101.105
