When used in this division, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

(1) COMMISSION. The Building Commission.

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
(2) DIRECTOR. The Director of the Technical Staff of the Building Commission.
(3) CODE. The state building code to be adopted by the Building Commission.
