Terms Used In Alabama Code 44-3-6
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, such corporation, in acting through the board of directors, shall have all the powers of a corporation as granted by the laws of Alabama.
