Alabama Code 45-18-120.02. Applicability

This article shall apply to all officials and employees in the service of the county or any board, agency, or instrumentality thereof except:

(1) persons holding elective offices;

county: means Conecuh County, Alabama; "employee" means any person, including law enforcement officers, not excepted by Section 45-18-120. See Alabama Code 45-18-120.01
person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
United States: includes the territories thereof and the District of Columbia. See Alabama Code 1-1-1

(2) members of appointive boards, commissions, and committees;

(3) all employees of the county board of education;

(4) independent contractors; and

(5) any person whose employment is subject to the approval of the United States government or any agency thereof.
