(1) The county manager was at the time of his or her appointment or has since become ineligible to hold office because the county manager failed to meet the minimum qualifications set forth under this part or set by the commission.(2) Malfeasance, misfeasance, or nonfeasance in office.(3)Conviction of a felony crime or of a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.(4) Failure to perform his or her duties as provided by this part in an honorable, competent, and reasonably efficient manner.(5) He or she becomes morally, physically, or mentally unfit to act in behalf of the county.(b) The county manager may only be removed by a vote of no less than four-fifths of the county commissioners. If the county manager is removed for cause, he or she shall forfeit any further compensation.
