Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 02.15.140

  • municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

The department may grant or lend money, subject to the provisions of Alaska Stat. § 02.15.060, 02.15.070, and 02.15.120, to any person or municipality or to municipalities acting jointly for project costs relating to the planning, acquisition, construction, improvement, maintenance, or operation of an airport owned or controlled or to be owned or controlled by the municipality or municipalities or person. Grants or loans may be furnished in connection with federal or other financial aid for the same purpose.
