Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 06.05.900

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • bank: means a person doing a banking business, including persons subject to the law of this or another jurisdiction. See Alaska Statutes 06.05.990
  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

If a copy of a record concerning an individual who owes or is owed child support, including a record concerning assets and liabilities of the individual, prepared or maintained by a bank of this state is requested by the child support services agency established in Alaska Stat. § 25.27.010 or the child support enforcement agency of another state, the bank shall provide the requesting agency with a certified copy of the record. If information is prepared or maintained by the bank in an electronic data base, the bank may provide the requesting agency a copy of the electronic record and a statement certifying its contents. The agency receiving information under this section may use the information only for child support purposes authorized under law.
