Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 12.60.150
- Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
The sureties in an undertaking to keep the peace are entitled to the rights and authority of bail under Alaska Stat. Chapter 12.30 and the Alaska Rules of Criminal Procedure, and may be exonerated from their undertaking in the manner prescribed by law.
