Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 13.16.010

  • Executor: A male person named in a will to carry out the decedent
  • Probate: Proving a will
  • property: includes real and personal property. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

Except as provided in Alaska Stat. § 13.16.680, to be effective to prove the transfer of property or to nominate an executor, a will must be declared to be valid by an order of informal probate by the registrar or by an adjudication of probate by the court.
