Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 17.38.060

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • manufacture: has the meaning given in Alaska Stat. See Alaska Statutes 17.38.900
  • marijuana: means all parts of the plant of the genus cannabis whether growing or not, the seeds thereof, the resin extracted from any part of the plant, and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the plant, its seeds, or its resin, including marijuana concentrate. See Alaska Statutes 17.38.900
  • marijuana accessories: means any equipment, products, or materials of any kind which are used, intended for use, or designed for use in planting, propagating, cultivating, growing, harvesting, composting, manufacturing, compounding, converting, producing, processing, preparing, testing, analyzing, packaging, repackaging, storing, vaporizing, or containing marijuana, or for ingesting, inhaling, or otherwise introducing marijuana into the human body.   • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, it is lawful and is not an offense under state law or the law of any political subdivision of the state or a basis for seizure or forfeiture of assets under state law for persons 21 years of age or older to manufacture, possess, or purchase marijuana accessories, or to distribute or sell marijuana accessories to a person who is 21 years of age or older.
