A person may not operate a boiler or unfired pressure vessel under pressure without a valid inspection certificate as provided for in Alaska Stat. § 18.60.180 – 18.60.390. The operation of a boiler or unfired pressure vessel without an inspection certificate, or at a pressure exceeding that specified in the inspection certificate, is a misdemeanor and the owner, user, or operator is punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by both. Each day of unlawful operation is a separate offense.
