Alaska Statutes 19.10.085 – Naming of a highway

(a) A highway constructed by the department under Alaska Stat. Chapter 19.05 – Alaska Stat. Chapter 19.40 may be given a name only by law.

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 19.10.085

municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

(b) This section does not apply to

(1) a road constructed by a municipality under a grant authorized by Alaska Stat. Chapter 19.05 – Alaska Stat. Chapter 19.40;

(2) local service roads and trails.
