(a) The department is authorized to acquire by purchase, gift, or condemnation, all advertising devices and any property rights pertaining to them, when the advertising devices are required to be removed under Alaska Stat. § 19.25.150.

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.

(b) Damages resulting from a taking in eminent domain shall be ascertained in the manner provided by law.
