Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 41.35.330
- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
The term of office for a member of the commission is three years, except for those who are members by virtue of their positions with the state, who serve for as long as they remain in the position by virtue of which they are members of the commission. Except as provided in Alaska Stat. § 39.05.080(4), a member appointed to fill a vacancy serves for the unexpired term of the member succeeded.
