A respondent undergoing involuntary treatment on an inpatient basis under Alaska Stat. § 47.30.700 – 47.30.815 may be authorized to be absent from the treatment facility during times specified by the professional person in charge, or that person’s professional designee, when an authorization to be absent is in the best interests of the respondent and the respondent is not likely to cause harm to self or others.
